About
Crimont is an independent editorial index of hotels. It exists because the four kinds of property it covers — art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels — are usually described in marketing language, and rarely described in a way that tells you what the building actually is.
What is here
Every entry is written prose: a short account of the property, its setting and how a stay there is arranged. Facts are general and true to character; nothing is invented to fill a gap. There are no star ratings, no reviews, no scores and no booking engine.
How properties are chosen
A property is listed when it clearly belongs to one of the four categories and when enough is publicly known about it to write a fair paragraph. The index is geographically open — it is not a guide to any one country — and it is deliberately small.
What is not here
No prices, no availability, no affiliate arrangements and no partnerships with the hotels described. If a property changes, the entry may be out of date; check with the hotel before you plan around anything written here.
